On Sunday June 2 at approximately 15:50 hours (3:50 pm), Rescue Alarm 01-10 was dispatched for a vehicle collision involving an ATV in the 2800 block of Flag Marsh Road. Carroll County 911 had a report of several patients from 911 calls received and automatically dispatched additional EMS transport units. Medic 17 was first on the scene and found an ATV that had struck a large tree along the side of the road with two patients. They began aggressively treating the patients they found. Other units including Howard Medic 45, Rescue 1, Engine 12, and Howard Engine 41 assisted at the scene.
Medic 17 transported to a trauma facility with one patient. A helicopter was requested for transport but was delayed and subsequently cancelled. The crew from Medic 17 requested that a Howard County Fire/Rescue EMS Duty Officer meet them enroute to assist.
