On Friday January 12, shortly after 2100 hours, units from Carroll and Frederick counties were dispatched for a house fire in the 2600 block of W. Liberty Rd. near Rt. 27. Engine 12 was the second arriving engine and stretched a back up line to the door. E12 crew was then assisgned to enter the attic to replace crews from the first engine that had been working there. Crews from Reserve E11 and M18 were alerted on the RID and assisted in establishing the Rapid Intervention team. Units operated for over two hours before returning to service. Damage to the house was significant.
