Units were dispatched at 0449 hours on Box Alarm 1-6 for the house fire in the 6600 block of Christy Acres Circle. E12 arrived on the scene with fire showing from the roof and side B (left) attic. Hose lines were pulled into the house and the fire in the attic attacked. Hooks were used to pull down some ceiling to better access the fire. Rescue 1 laid a 5” supply line to the scene from Windridge Rd. and tankers prepared to supply E12 if needed, but no additional water was needed other than E12’s booster tank. Tower 12 deployed it’s ladder to the roof area so the siding and roof could be accessed in the fire area. Damage was contained to the attic and second floor area. Potomac Edison secured the electricity by removing the meter. A Carroll County Building Inspector was requested.

The origin and cause of the fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office. Damage figures are not yet available.
