At 0054 hours (12:54 am) MAVFC units were dispatched for a collision on I-70 near West Watersville Road along with units from Howard County Station 4. Rescue 1 and Medic 18 responded quickly. Howard Rescue Engine 4 arrived on location with a subject trapped in the vehicle and upgraded the assignment. With the upgrade to the assignment Engine 12 was added to the call and responded to assist. Upon the arrival of Rescue 1 members assisted crews from Howard Station 4 with the removing the roof enough to extricate the patient. Once on the scene units operated for approximately 30 minutes to free the victim from the vehicle.
