MAVFC Assists Howard County with 1 Trapped on I-70

On January 21 at 1457hours (2:57 pm), Engine 12 and Ambulance 18 were dispatched for a vehicle collision on I-70 westbound in the area of West Watersville Road. First arriving Ambulance 18 located a vehicle that appeared to have rolled over at least one time and ended up on all four wheels. The patient was located inside the vehicle unable to get out. Lisbon VFC Rescue Engine 4 extricated the patient prior to the arrival of Rescue 1. Rescue 1 arrived and assisted in transferring the patient over to the EMS units that were waiting for aviation, then shut down the highway for aviation to land. The patient was transported to the hospital by MSP Aviation. Units cleared in approximately an hour.
