Our annual week long carnival will be held July 20 - 25, 2009. The Gala Parade will be held Thursday evening, July 23, at 7:00 pm. The carnival opens each evening at 6:00 pm with food, games, rides, entertainment and fun for people of all ages. This is one of the primary fundraisers for the fire company each year.
Ride specials will be announced in late June and early July. These specials sell out fast so get yours early. No ride specials are sold during the carnival or after the special offers are sold out.
Our food menu each night includes hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes, Italian sausage, pit beef, pit turkey, pit ham, fresh cut french fries, ice cold soft drinks, and fresh squeezed lemonade. A buffet supper is held each evening in the air conditioned Activities Building from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Menus vary each evening. Rosedale Amusements will provide over 20 rides for children of all ages to enjoy.
There will be many games, raffles, money wheels and entertainment for the family to enjoy.
The Entertainment lineup is as follows;
Monday July 20, "The Rock and Roll Relics" music from another millenium
Tuesday July 21, "Cartoon Johnny" harmony, rhythm, & soul
Wednesday July 22, "Dean Crawford & the Dunn's River Band" country and Southern rock
Thursday July 23, MAVFC Gala Parade plus on stage, "The Yard Slippers" Americana, grass roots & folk
Friday July 24, "Allen Brown and Friends" local classic country favorite
Saturday July 25, "Tori Anderson & the Possum Holler Band" plus Gigantic Fireworks Display
