Two Trapped in Early Morning Crash on Ridge Road

On February 20 at 0536 (5:36 am), units were dispatched for a vehicle collision at the intersection of Rt. 27 and Twin Arch Road. First arriving Medic 19 advised there was a two vehicle collision and there was a patient trapped in each vehicle. Rescue 1 crew began to extricate the highest priority patient while a second squad was requested for the patient in the second vehicle. Both patients were transported to a trauma center, one by helicopter and one by ambulance. The scene was turned over to the Maryland State Police for further investigation. Units operated for just over an hour at the scene.
