In the late afternoon hours of Wednesday April 25, Carroll County Communications dispatched Box Alarm 1-15 for a house fire in the 700 block of North Warfield Drive. Engine 12 was first on the scene and found smoke coming from the gablevents on the sides of the house. Engine 12's crew stretched a handline to the front door and made access to find a house with light smoke conditions inside. A small fire was located in the attic area and extinguished quickly. Damage was minimal and units cleared within the hour.
