On Sunday afternoon, 12/16 at approximately 1330 hours (1:30 pm) Engine 12 and Tanker 1 were dispatched mutual aid for a mobile home fire in the 4300 block of Ridge Road in Taylorsville. Chief 1 was the first arriving unit and found a mobile home with smoke and fire showing. It was unknown if anyone was home at the time. A tanker task force was requested and a working fire dispatch made.

Engine 12 arrived just behind Winfield Engine 142 and reported to the scene while Tanker 1 set-up to supply water to the scene. Crews from Winfield, Mount Airy and New Windsor initiated an aggressive fire attack and were able to put a quick knock on the fire. All searches were negative and crews began salvage and overhaul operations.

After the knock down, command held the initial arriving units until the on scene investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office was complete. The Red Cross was contacted for the residents. Units cleared the scene in approximately two hours.
