| On Tuesday morning October 20 at 0629 hours, Carroll County ECC dispatched Rescue Alarm 1-1 for a vehicle collision with rescue in the area of Route 27 and Center Street. First arriving units found a 2 vehicle t-bone collision in the intersection with 1 patient trapped. Command was established and an additional BLS unit was requested. Crews went to work to assess the patients and to stabilize the passenger car. The crew from Rescue 1 removed the driver side door and was able to gain access to the patient within 15 minutes of arrival. Both patients were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. Route 27 was closed for nearly an hour causing detours and traffic delays. All units cleared by 0705 hours. |
