At approximately 1330 hours on 10/14/22, MAVFC units were dispatched to a vehicle collision in the 1100 block of South Main Street. The 911 center shortly after dispatch upgraded the incident to a serious collision with a report of someone unconscious. Medic 18 arrived and confirmed serious injuries and requested aviation for medical transport to a specialty trauma facility. Other units arrived shortly thereafter.

Personnel operated quickly to package the patient and take them to the MAVFC Carnival grounds where Frederick Engine 152 had established a helicopter landing zone. Units operated on the incident for approximately 40 minutes before returning to service.
