The Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company is discontinuing our Ambulance Club effective June 30, 2023. Emergency ambulance service will continue as usual.

Carroll County Government has created a Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services and will be assuming the responsibility for staffing Emergency Medical Services in Mount Airy in July. However, volunteer staffing will continue when available.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our residents for your continued support as we transition into a combination volunteer and county career system.

Our volunteers are here to stay and are always accepting applications. The Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company will continue to provide ambulance service as we always have, but staffing will be predominantly by county paid career personnel.
