On Sunday May 11th at approximately 1935 hours, (7:35 pm), units from the MAVFC were dispatched to a serious vehicle collision along the 17000 block of Frederick Road in Howard County. Rescue 1 and Medic 18 were first to arrive finding a single vehicle collision involving a utility pole with entrapment and injuries. Medic 1 arrived shortly thereafter, and crews went to work quickly assessing multiple patients and providing care along with units from Howard County Station 4 (Lisbon) and others. MAVFC and CCDFEMS crews assisted with patient care on-scene until the arrival of two MD State Police aeromedical transports (helicopters) and other ground transport units. Units operated on-scene for approximately an hour.
The incident is being investigated by the Howard County Police Department. |
