| Preparations are underway for this year's 97th Annual MAVFC Carnival, July 20 to July 25, 2026.
This is our biggest and most important fundraiser of the year. This year, our department is celebrating 100 Years of Service to the Mount Airy Community.
As times continue to change, Carroll County Department of Fire and EMS is now funding our career staffing at the station however, volunteers still make up a portion of fire and rescue responses. Fundraising must be done by the volunteers to finance apparatus purchases for fire, rescue, and emergency medical incidents in addition to providing maintenance on our grounds and buildings. Arriving this year is a replacement for Engine 12. A replacement for Rescue 1 will arrive in 2027. Your participation and support will allow us to equip and continue to serve the community for another 100 years.
Rides will be provided again this year by Rosedale Attractions. Advance sale of Ride-All-Night Tickets will begin June 9 and run until July 19. There is a limited number of these tickets available. Advance sale Ride-All-Night Tickets are $20.00 CASH ONLY in person at Blossom and Basket Boutique and Mt. Airy Locker Company/Wagner’s Meats from June 9 - July 19 during their regular business hours, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.
Additionally, advance Ride-All-Night Tickets will be available for purchase on our website beginning on June 9, until 11:59 pm on Sunday July 19. If you purchase tickets online, please note there is a $1 processing fee for each ticket purchased. Online credit tickets will be $21.00. Pickup for online tickets will be at Will-Call located under the MAVFC tent at the entrance of the midway on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday beginning at 5:00 pm until 7:30 pm.
Your last chance to purchase tickets in person ($20.00 cash or $21.00 credit) will be Sunday July 19 at the Carnival Office on the Carnival Grounds, 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
Advance tickets can ONLY be used on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights of the carnival. Advance tickets will NOT be sold after July 19th. You may still purchase tickets after July 20, but only at the ride ticket booth on the grounds at the cost of $35.
Saturday Night will be Kids' Night, thanks to Mt. Airy Children's Dental Associates. All kiddie rides are 1 Ticket Each. (For all children and teens 18 years and under)
Be sure to stop by the MAVFC Tent at the entrance of the midway every night, so you can enter to win the gaming station raffle! YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN the GAMING STATION on Saturday night.
The usual food delights will be on hand all week at the various food stands on the grounds. Please note that most stands are cash only except the Main Eating stand and Auxiliary food stand. The nightly buffet served by the Auxiliary will be in the air-conditioned Reception Hall from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. The cost is $18 for adults, $20 for carryout, $8 for children 6-12, with 5 and under being free. Cash or credit is accepted for the buffet dinners.

The Big Money Raffle will be on the midway with chances available at 1 for $5, 3 for $10, or 6 for $20. The Big Money Raffle will be drawn on Saturday night, and you do not need to be present to win. Games for all ages are on hand all week long. There will be musical entertainment on stage each night. In addition, our Beer Garden is returning on Friday and Saturday nights, near the stage thanks to Mt. Airy Liquors. Music entertainment will begin at approximately 7:00 pm each night. Coolers and outside food and drinks are PROHIBITED on the grounds.
The Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company invites everyone to come out for fun filled evenings for the whole family while you support your local fire, rescue and emergency medical services providers and have a great time doing it! Most stands open at 6 pm.
