Thanks for a Great Carnival

The members of the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company wish to thank everyone in our community and the surrounding area for their support and patronage of our annual fundraising carnival. This year we lost one night to storms but were blessed with great weather the other 5 nights. This fundraiser is our primary source for the money we need to maintain and upgrade our facilities, as well as purchasing new apparatus as needed. Carroll County provides us with a core of personnel to staff our units, but we must supplement them with volunteers to obtain minimum staffing levels. All properties are maintained and apparatus purchased by the volunteers.
Our carnival is supported by many citizens from our community in assisting with staffing the game booths and food stands. Without them we could not provide the entire event each year. Many businesses from our community pitch in to sponsor many of our game stands and food booths. Their support is greatly appreciated.

If you are interested in joining the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company, please stop by the station and pick up an application. You do not have to be a firefighter or medical responder. We welcome folks that just wish to help raise funds or assist with public relations or work details.
