On the evening of March 26, Howard County Box 4-11 was dispatched for a barn on fire near the intersection of Old Frederick Rd and Watersville Rd. E12, ET14, RS1, B15, and M18 were requested from Mt. Airy. E12 was first out responding quickly, followed shortly by ET14 and RS1. While enroute to the incident, Lisbon units arrived on the scene and reported a barn full of hay well involved. The units on the scene quickly requested several large capacity tankers and 2 brush trucks. Upon arrival of E12, water supply was being set-up. Howard County Tanker 3 dropped their Folding Tank while E12 set-up to pump out of the tank. Upon the arrival of ET14 the crew began to set-up a second folding tank. Once a water supply was set-up the crew of ET14 made their way to the scene and was assigned to relieve the crews already operating to protect exposures around the barn. Crews off E12 and RS1 also assisted with the protection of exposures for several hours before being released. Units operated on the scene of the incident for about 3 hours.
