A MAIN STREET CHRISTMAS Twinkling Santa Parade will take place in downtown Mount Airy on Saturday, December 4, 2010.

There is no fee to enter; the requirement is that your vehicle be decorated for
the holidays with greens or lights, and music if you want. It can be a golf cart, a garden
tractor, a pickup (one ton limit), or whatever vehicle you choose (unique is always fun). You can
pull a wagon (load it up with kids). You may NOT throw candy due to the amount of kids in the street.

As you pass through the heart of downtown, your business name will be announced
on the PA system, which will be awesome free advertising for you.

The parade will begin at Mount Airy Elementary School (gather at 5:00 pm, parade
begins at 6:00 pm) and ends at either Calvary Methodist or the parking lot in front of
Ace Hardware/Food Lion – your choice, wherever your group wants to meet up with
additional cars for transportation home.

To enter, call Shane Mellin at 301-829-0100, VM 73

The event is sponsored by the Mount Airy Main Street Association and the Mount Airy Vol. Fire Co.
