On Monday evening 01/02/2023, Carroll County 911 dispatched a vehicle collision reported serious with entrapment in the 7400 block of Woodbine Road. Rescue 1 was dispatched on the initial call and Truck 1 responded from Winfield Station 14 where they were transferred to assist with regional coverage while a structure fire was ongoing in the Eldersburg area.

Howard County Chief 4B was first to arrive and reported two vehicles with entrapment and electrical wires down. The trapped patient was quickly extricated and the occupants of both vehicles were evaluated for injuries and transported to area hospitals. Truck 1 assisted with scene lighting and assessing hazards from the vehicles and downed electrical wires. Units operated on the scene for approximately 30 minutes.
