On Saturday morning March 4, members of MAVFC took Truck 1 on a road trip across the Bay Bridge to Grasonville VFD. The members of their ladder truck committee asked if MAVFC would bring the unit over so committee members could see and operate the unit as they look to replace their 1998 ladder truck in the near future.

The MAVFC went through the same process several years ago when looking over other companies ladder trucks throughout the region. These relationships are huge so that members of the fire service can see what might work best for their response area as well as supporting the comradery and volunteer cooperation in our state.

It was a great trip across the bay and the members of Grasonville VFD’s hospitality was second to none. On the way back Truck 1 even responded to a vehicle collision in town.
