Did you know that we have a Juniors Program here at the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company? Young people ages 12 to 15 who wish to learn about firefighting and emergency medical services can join.
Junior members can earn community service hours, learn skills in leadership, teamwork, and participate in training, work details, and fundraising events. Each month they have a business meeting and a training drill. Junior members also participate in several county Junior Days where they train and compete with other juniors from neighboring fire departments.
If your child has always wanted to be a firefighter or emergency medical technician, then this program might be just what they are looking for to get started. You can get more information by going to the following website: https://www.mavfc.org/content/juniors/ |
