In recent weeks, members of the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company hosted two visits from Mount Airy Middle School students interested in public safety. On March 18, seventh grade students toured the station, followed by eighth grade students on March 25. During each visit, students received an overview of the fire department and learned about career opportunities within the fire service. The visits also included four practical stations, giving students the chance to gain hands-on experience and better understand the work performed by fire and emergency personnel.
