Rescue 1 Assists at Fatal Vehicle Collision near New Windsor

On Sunday morning May 31 at 9:44 am, Rescue 1 was dispatched for the vehicle collision with rescue in the 2600 block of Marston Road near New Windsor. New Windsor VFD arrived on the scene quickly and determined that a single patient was trapped in a vehicle that had struck a tree. The patient expired prior to the arrival of Rescue 1, however, Command held Rescue 1 for an extensive extrication process that took most of the late morning to complete. A large "rotator" type wrecker was also brought to the scene to assist. Personnel cleared the scene around 1:30 pm.
