Working Rescue in Winfield

On Monday November 23 at 13:41 hours, Winfield units Medic 149, Engine 141, and Utility 14 were dispatched for a vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 26 and Skidmore Road. Winfield units arrived and found a 3 vehicle collision with multiple patients and 1 still trapped in their vehicle. Lieutenant 14-4 established Route 26 command and asked for the working rescue assignment and additional transport units. Medic 17 and Rescue 1 (on the air clearing another crash) were dispatched on the working rescue assignment. Medic 17 arrived and handled the packaging and treatment of one patient and transported to a local hospital. Rescue 1 arrived and assisted Engine 141 with the completion of the rescue and securing the other vehicles involved. M 149 and M 129 both transported patients as well.
