MAVFC Assists with Two Trauma Patients in Kemptown

On Tuesday evening December 14, 2010, Medic 18 and Rescue 1 were dispatched to assist units from Green Valley and New Market (Frederick County) with a vehicle collision reported as a roll over with 1 trapped and 1 ejected in front of the Kemptown Elementary School. First arriving units found a single vehicle off the roadway and confirmed the initial reports. The crew from Medic 18 was assigned patient care of the ejected patient and the crew from Rescue 1 was assigned to assist with the extrication group. The trapped patient was freed from the vehicle by the crew from RE153. Rescue 1 was then reassigned to handle the landing zone for Troopers 3 and 2. All units were clear at 2100hrs (9:00PM)
