Members of the Fire Prevention and Life Safety Committee of the MAVFC spoke to a crowd of approximately 75 senior citizens for over an hour at the Mount Airy Senior Center on Monday November 2 at their request. Information was provided on general home fire safety, lock boxes for the home, smoke alarms, and residential sprinklers. Printed information was made available on a variety of subjects including Emergency Drills in the Home, posting of house numbers, kitchen safety and other appropriate items. A number of very good questions were answered for the folks in attendance.
